The Service Selection Boards (SSB) evaluate candidates through a series of Psychological Tests, Interviews, and Group Tasks to assess their potential for becoming officers in the Armed Forces.
At Aura Defence and Career Institute, our SSB training program is carefully structured to bring out the best in each candidate. The program is scientifically designed to develop an individual’s capabilities through a transformative four-phase process:
Phase I – The candidate is unaware of their skill gaps and areas for improvement.
Phase II – The candidate becomes aware of the gaps and begins to work on them intentionally.
Phase III – The candidate gains the necessary skills and applies them with effort and awareness.
Phase IV – The candidate performs confidently and naturally, with refined skills embedded into their personality.
By the end of Phase IV, our trainees are fully prepared to face the SSB with confidence. Their responses and behaviors become instinctive, authentic, and aligned with the expectations of the SSB assessors.
Includes both Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning assessments to evaluate the candidate’s cognitive ability.
2. PP & DT (Picture Perception and Discussion Test)Candidates are shown a blur picture and asked to write a story based on it.
Followed by a group discussion where each candidate narrates their story and participates in a collaborative discussion.
For Air Force Aspirants Only – Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT):A written test to assess understanding of basic flight instruments.
Part 2 – Machine Test (Computer-Based)A simulation-based test to evaluate hand-eye coordination, motor response, and aptitude for piloting tasks.
Note: Only candidates who qualify Stage I will proceed to Stage II. Others will be released from the selection process on the same day.
